For the NTT Experience Center’s Diversity in Innovation Event Mickey took everyone on a deep dive into lessons learned in the process of building “Departments of Strategic Surprise.” He covers a bit of background about the design innovation lab he ran called MAYA in the first 7 minutes (there are bookmarks for each section of the video) and then explores strategic surprise, technoscientific revolutions, exaptation, recursion, recombination, deep craft, Pasteur’s quadrant, and ultimately the intersection of Moore’s Law, Metcalfe’s Law, and Darwin.
