It’s fun to explore what various organisms in the world can sense. Below is a simple widget we built to understand how various organisms sense light across the electromagnetic spectrum, sense sound across the acoustic spectrum, and for fun how to think about the spectrum of smell and taste as well. In the sight spectrum try the “compare” button and pick Humans, and Bumble Bees. Or for even more fun compare humans to Pit Vipers. In smell check out the difference between dolphins and grizzly bears.
