In this 10 minute talk at the Economist Ideas conference Mickey McManus explains what might be a necessary extension, beyond open source when we reach a trillion node information ecology. He and his fellow authors of trillions note that there is no respective reference in computing the way we have neutrons, protons, and electrons for the basic building blocks of an information ecology.
